The cold winter weather most of us are experiencing should generate strong incentives to submit an abstract to the upcoming W2133 Annual Meetings in lovely Tucson, AZ. Today in Tucson it is 70 degrees and sunny, and similarly weather is predicted for February 25-26, the dates of our meetings. Additional reasons to attend include the lovely Tanque Verde Ranch, the venue for our meetings (http://www.tanqueverderanch.com/), and the outstanding group of researchers who have committed to come.

It is time to make reservations and plans for our 2009 W2133 meeting. As you may recall, we are meeting in lovely downtown Austin, Texas!

The meeting is scheduled to begin Wednesday (2/18/09) [afternoon session] with a Presidents Reception at night and run all day Thursday (2/19/09) and Friday (2/20/09) with check out for most on Saturday.

There will be light food and drinks provided on Thursday and Friday as well as a Happy Hour Reception on Thursday as well.

The contracted room rates are $139/single and $149/double.

Also, we do have some rooms being held for group members/friends (and their guests) for Tuesday (2/17) and Saturday (2/21) nights to accommodate lengthier stays.

Hello W-2133 Members and Friends,

Our 2008 meeting is approaching, so I would like to give everyone an update on the meeting venue:

The meeting will be held from February 17-20, 2008 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii. This will be a joint meeting with the Western Regional Science Association  and there is an opportunity for a joint session with WRSA members.
