- The meeting will be held on the main campus of Washington State University in Pullman from July 11-13, 2012. The tentative program will include a field trip on Wednesday afternoon, a plenary session, followed by invited and volunteer oral and poster presentations starting on Thursday morning through Friday morning. Graduate students are highly encouraged to participate in oral presentation competition. The WSCS presents the A.K. Dobrenz Student Oral Paper Awards with a cash award for top three student oral presentations at its Society meetings. In addition, the winner of the competition will receive a $500 travel stipend to attend the ASA, CSSA, and SSSA Annual Meetings October 21-24, 2012 in Cincinnati, OH!
Professional oral and poster sessions will be held and students may also present posters. Abstracts will be accepted through May 1. Abstracts are submitted via the Western Society of Crop Science website.

- Our next meeting will be in Saint Paul, MN on June 13-14 and will be held to allow folks to also attend the Borlaug Global Rust Initiative (BGRI) Technical Workshop and/or North American Rust Workers (NARW) meetings should they wish. We are planning to hold a tour of the cereal plots on the St. Paul campus in conjunction with a field tour planned as part of the BGRI program.
