- Additional Information: Make reservations at Otesaga Resort Hotel, Cooperstown, NY for Tuesday night, April 3. NECC 1011 participants will lodge in the Cooper Inn, a part of the Otesaga system for $105. A small registration fee (to cover refreshment costs) will be emailed to you when you register for the annual meeting. Nearest major airport is Albany, NY, a 1.5 hour drive. Meeting will be 1-5pm on Tuesday, April 3 and 8am to 5pm on Wednesday, April 4. Purpose of meeting is to understand multistate project process and divide into writing teams, which will provide written content for full proposal due June 17, 2012. Proposal review by peers is required before submission. The request to write the proposal, which includes background and objectives, is attached. - This will be the annual meeting of NECC1011 Balancing Natural Resource Recreation Management, Human Well-Being, and Community Resilience. Highlights of the meeting include federal agency speakers who will speak about research needs and opportunities in outdoor recreation management. We will focus on developing plans for a full research proposal which will let us take the group from a coordinating committee to an official multi-state research project. Please bring a 1-page handout that summarizes your existing individual research program.
