NCDC209: BioEnergy and BioProducts Committee
Statement of Issues and Justification
The North Central Region has authorized creation of a Development Committee on the subject of bioenergy and bioproducts. The intent is to bring together scientists and extension educators to review the landscape and current situation surrounding bioenergy and bioproducts to ascertain if a multistate committee should be developed in this subject area. There are currently several ongoing efforts in this subject including Sun Grant and attention by the Department of Energy. In addition there is the Midwest Consortium for Sustainable Biobased Products and Energy.
